Elena Nikolarea, Associate

Attorney-at-Law, member of the Athens Bar Association.
She holds a Degree in Law from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with “excellent”/first-class honors (2016).
She is also a holder of a Master of Laws Degree in Civil Law from the Law School of the University of Athens, in the Specialization “Civil Law and New Technologies”, graduating with “excellent”/first-class honors and with the Highest Distinction in her specialization (2019). Her postgraduate studies mainly focused on matters of civil law, intellectual property law, electronic commerce and data protection law.
She attended a semester of her undergraduate studies at the Law School of the University of Sheffield in England, in the framework of the Erasmus program, and she has also participated in summer programs of interdisciplinary courses at the University of Cambridge, England and of polish language courses at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
She has participated successfully in an intensive seminars program organized by the Athens Bar Association and the Greek DPA, in relation to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as to many other legal conferences and seminars.
In addition, she contributes regularly to the online publication “ILN IP Insider” of the International Lawyers Network, with articles concerning, mainly, Intellectual Property matters.
She has worked in the past, as a trainee, at the at the Scientific Service of the Hellenic Parliament in Athens, as well as at the European External Action Service (EEAS) of the European Union in Brussels (through the very well-known and competitive “Blue Book” traineeship program of the European Commission).
She mostly deals with cases related to Civil Law, Data Protection Law and Intellectual and Industrial Property Law.
She speaks Greek, English, French and Polish.
