IAM Patent recently published in its Weekly Email Newsletter the article “Supreme Court demands thorough reasoning on novelty criteria”, written by Irini Daroussou, Partner of our firm.

 In a major dispute over DVD production royalties, the Greek Supreme Court has held that the Appeals Court’s reasoning – having accepted the European patent holder’s claim – was insufficient. According to the Supreme Court, the Appeals Court did not adequately substantiate why these particular patents were considered to meet the novelty criterion.
